This is my ninth year at Lafayette Mills School in Manalapan, NJ, where I teach computer skills to fourth, fifth and sixth-graders.
Teaching was not directly my choice of vocations, but it always seemed to find me in whatever jobs I have had. I am very lucky and very happy in my work. I worked in human resources for a long time, at The New York Public Library and as a director at The Club at Woodbridge. In 1990 I completed an MS in Industrial and Labor Relations in the Baruch/Cornell program at CUNY; and I received an MA in Educational Technology from New Jersey City University in 2008.
My job with Futurekids helped me make the decision to pursue a full-time teaching career. Futurekids is a global provider of school technology curricula. In my position, I did a lot of inservice teaching in schools all around New Jersey.
