Our word processing lessons focus on giving students a broad exposure to word processing skills. This takes place within the context of lessons which incorporate grade-level curriculum.
For instance, fourth grade students do an acrostic poem while learning the basics of which keys do what, and what the toolbars are used for.
Fifth graders work on a short biography incorporating some of the editing and researching tools such as spell check, thesaurus, dictionary.
In sixth grade, students use the word processing application as a desktop publisher to create an ancient culture newsletter.
